Reveille
Reveille is a French word that means "wake up". But, this was not the first call or wake up call in the infantry of 1861-1865. For infantry, this was the call that was given to begin morning roll call.
Upon hearing the call the troops would start to form and upon completion of the last note, the 1st. Sergeants would begin morning roll call.
