1. A bayonet is a required item. It is to be carried in a proper period scabbard with a metal tip.
2. A leather cartridge box (with leather sling) is a required item as well as a leather cap box. Black or
brown leather only. An oil cloth sling is also good to use.
3. A canteen is a required equipment item. Any style of the period is acceptable.
4. A blanket is an item that most reenactors use.
5. Knap sack and back packs may be used as well as a ground cloth or poncho.
6. There are many items for cooking and drinking, coffee pots, laterns, etc... All of these type items
are up to the individual soldier as long as they are of period style.
7. There are no restrictions on most personal equipment so if you wish, you may spend alot of time at
the local sutler store.
8. When in doubt about an item, always talk to one of the more experienced members prior to
spending your money on equipment or you can check with the unit commander prior to
purchasing.
