Uniform Regulations
1. The 46th Tennessee portrays a Confederate Army of Tennessee unit as well as an Army
of the Ohio Tennessee Union unit.


2. Confederate impression for the Army of Tennessee should be as follows;


a. Wool shell jacket, any style (no trim is best). If trim us used it should be dark blue.  Sack
coats may also be used.  Frock coats are authorized for officers and soldiers.  Sleeve
braid for officers should be kept to a minimum.

b. Wool trousers, any style. Civilian style (cotton or wool) may also be used. A vest of
period style may also be used.


c. Colors for uniforms may be medium gray, cadet gray, dark gray, butternut or jean wool.
Trousers may be sky blue. (Note) mismatched coat and trousers look good.


d. Shoes should be brogan style, black or brown. Rough or smooth boots for officers are
authorized and may be authorized for soldiers upon approval by unit commander.


e. Hats my be of any period style, black or brown is best.  Caps may be of any period style,
such as bummer, kepi, wheel mexican war style, straw, mechanic.  Brass hat devices
may be used, but don't over do it
