1. Muskets should be a three band percussion lock black powder reproduction rifle. Use of original
muskets or flintlock muskets must be authorized by the unit commander. Attached artillery units
will set their own policy on muskets.
2. Two band muskets or other types of muskets may only be used when authorized by the unit
commander.
3. Pistols will only be carried by officers and 1st. Sergeants. Pistols must be loaded, used and
maintained in a proper way, as are muskets. Attached artillery units will set their own policy in
regards to pistols.
4. Edged weapons such as sabers and knives are to be carried in proper fitted scabbards. Knives must
never be drawn on the battle field. Sabers are only authorized for officers and 1st. Sergeants.
